For Northern California based photographers, I am going to be offering my popular one day Lake Tahoe workshops again this year. Not only is this a great chance to photograph Tahoe at its best in winter, but it's also a chance to get to know me as an instructor. I don't tend to do a lot of single day workshops, but Tahoe is close to home and fun to photograph.

We will meet for sunrise and then spend the day working our way around the lake creating unique images of the lake as we learn about camera techniques as well composition. We will stop for a mid-day lunch (not included) at one of the wonderful restaurants round the lake, after an afternoon break we conclude at sunset along the Northeast shore or fall colors in Hope Valley. Winter workshops offer a chance to shoot Tahoe with snow during clearing storms, while fall workshops offer the chance to photograph fall colors, Hope Valley, and possibly even bears.

It's an easy trip logistically, because if you live close you can drive up early in the morning, or if you are farther away you only need to book a room in Tahoe City for a single night.

Group workshops start at $325 for the entire day sunrise to sunset (private workshops start at $1200 for a full day). On weekends where there is a Saturday and Sunday date offered you can join one or both days depending on your needs. The locations we visit and conditions vary between days so every day offers something unique. I run the trip in all weather, as the best photos are often created during or right after "bad weather". As with all my workshops, this trip will max out at 6 photographers. That way everyone will get lots of personal attention and instruction. Come join me at one of my favorite California locations.
